Julie is a down to earth, fun loving, and very hilarious mother of 1 (2 soon!). In between answering questions about birds and bees and working, she runs an exciting blog which many mothers relate too – which adds to her audience
Transform a stale WordPress.org built blog with limited plugins and themes, into a more vibrant reflection of the writer’s personality and audience. It turns out WordPress importer is it’s own problem – I ended up writing a WordPress to WordPress post about that all together.
In this case the solution was simple. It made sense to move the blog from WordPress.org to a self-hosted WordPress account. After setting up hosting and transferring the domain from to our registrar – we sat down and planned what would be the overall feel of the site. We purchased a theme that fit our needs then customized a child-theme of it to really get the look and experience we wanted.
- UI is much cleaner, vibrant, and elements really pop
- Site is completely responsive vs. old one which used vertical scrollbars 🙁
- More stats to come!
